Mark Young is Board Certified in Construction Law with a B.S. in Civil Engineering. He has been a member of the construction panel for the American Arbitration Association since 2014 and has practiced law since 2001 (Texas, inactive).
Mark concentrates in construction and business law, representing general contractors, owners, developers, professional engineers, architects, and other construction professionals through litigation, arbitration and mediation. Mark also represents attorneys and fiduciaries in professional malpractice claims.
Mark has authored numerous articles on construction-related topics for the American Arbitration Association, the Florida Bar’s ActionLine, and various other publications. He has also delivered presentations to the American Society of Civil Engineers on multiple occasions.
As a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent & Trademark Office since 2001, Mark possesses extensive knowledge in intellectual property law. Before entering law school, he designed land development, commercial, roadway, train and airport projects as a project engineer.
Mark earned his B.S. in civil engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology where he was recognized in one of his engineering textbooks for his contributions as an engineer student. He also has a Juris Doctor and an MBA from the University of Utah.
Outside of the office, Mark is a former President of the Palm Beach Chapter of the Rare Fruit Council International and cultivates about sixty mango trees in his yard. He is also a lifetime member of the Palm Beach Beekeepers Association.
